Suspect in $1 billion fraud case arrested by Interpol

AMMAN, JORDAN, 31ST JANUARY 2017, LIMA CHARLIE NEWS WIRE

| A man wanted by INTERPOL was arrested at the Queen Alia International Airport outside of Amman, Jordan, on behalf of INTERPOL on JAN29, this according to a statement made by the Jordanian Director of General Security.

The man had been sentenced in absentia in another, undisclosed, Arabian country to 7 years in prison for fraud and having attempted to embezzle nearly $1 billion US dollars.

The man was traveling from an undisclosed European country to Jordan, and had exited the international area of the airport when he was arrested.
