WASHINGTON, 26TH JANUARY 2017, LIMA CHARLIE NEWS WIRE: ‘North Korea greatest threat’
The US Army Pacific (USARPAC) Commander, General Robert Brown, stated on January 25th that North Korea remains the largest threat for the United States.
The thing that keeps me up at night, though, the thing I worry the most about is North Korea.
The most likely threat to all of us sitting here, in my opinion.– Gen. Robert Brown, commander of U.S. Army Pacific
The statement came during a keynote address before the open discussion panel at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a think-tank in Washington, where Gen. Brown was a featured guest. The subject for the discussion was the forecast for the Asian region for 2017.
During the keynote address, the General expressed concern over the relative unpredictability combined with the “belligerent aggressiveness” of North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un.
Assessments from various groups say there are strong indicators that North Korea is preparing for a round of intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) tests in the next coming days and weeks.
North Korea just stated that it is in the final stages of developing a nuclear weapon capable of reaching parts of the U.S. It won’t happen!

Gen. Brown stated during his keynote regarding Jong-un, that he is “pushing the envelope”. Brown added, “I mean, look at 34-plus launches in four years … it could be upward of 40, depending on what you count versus his father, [who did] 12 launches in 17 years.”
