Welcome to the first edition of Lima Charlie NatSec. Host Michael Gardner welcomes living legend and U.S. Navy veteran Capt. (Ret.) Gail Harris on to talk about her #GailForce article about the employment of the GBU-43, or MOAB, in Afghanistan. They recap the weapon’s development from lessons learned following the first Gulf War, and ask whether its use is in line with a coherent military strategy. They take a look back at the successes and failures of the previous two administrations, and ask if the current administration has a defined end state for their military actions. Finally, they talk about their shared love for music and Capt. Harris shares a story that’s bound to leave you rolling with laughter.
