Marine Special Ops among 16 fatalities in C-130 crash
Fifteen Marines and a Navy corpsman were killed on July 10th when their KC-130-Transport crashed in a field in Mississippi, the deadliest crash for the USMC in over a decade. The plane was traveling from the Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, in North Carolina, towards the Naval Air Field El Centro, California, carrying members of the Marine Special Operations unit 2nd Marine Raider Battalion.
